Talk about your first ever completed manuscript, how you felt about it then and now, and if it was published.

My first completed manuscript was entitled Master of the Revels.  I wrote it in 2007 and after numerous revisions and changes, it was eventually published.  I learned a lot writing that story and going through the editorial process.  Mostly I discovered things not to do. But that was okay.  I learned a great deal from it.  

Back when I was writing it, I was so excited.  Everything was new and I just got so much pleasure from the story and the process of writing it.  I think it was one of the first times I was really able to let my imagination truly fly without restrictions.  As I look back on it, I realize that while the story showed promise, it wasn’t ready for prime time, but the lessons it taught me were worth it.  

The story is out of print and it will stay that way.  However, if you would like a copy, you can email me and I will gladly send you one.  You just have to promise not to hold it against me.

Andrew grew up in western Michigan with a father who loved to tell stories and a mother who loved to read them. Since then, he has lived throughout the country and traveled throughout the world.
